Billy’s youtube competition & training

Billy's 343 kg Raw ~ World Record Deadlift

Denis Roberts

I have been on the national team representing Australia at the World Championship level in Freestyle Wrestling, Greco Roman Wrestling and Submission Wrestling since 2005. And I have competed in professional MMA.  In wrestling I have won titles at State and national championships, South pacific and Oceania Championships and have medalled at many international comps, including a 3rd place finish at 2007 Commonwealth Championships, 11th at World Championships and 4th at 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Billy has been working with me in my strength and conditioning since 2003 and with his help in training and nutrition I’ve been able to take myself to the next level of competition. In a gruelling and intense sport like wrestling you have to have the conditioning to keep powering through to the final moments of the match, out work your opponent and to score the winning points.  With Billy’s help I have always had the confidence that I can keep up the intensity for the duration of the matches and outwork my opponents until they mentally break.

If you are an elite athlete or just want to improve your fitness and physique, Billy has all the knowledge and tools to help you reach your goals.

Thanks for all your help Billy!

Denis Roberts,

Australian Wrestling Team.

An open letter to all Elite Physique staff,

After achieving what I consider some pretty serious personal bests in Battle of the Gyms, I felt that I had not had the opportunity to thank all those who had helped me experience my success.  I attribute the gains that I have made and the rejuvenated passion for training to all the Elite Physique staff.

I was a 38 year old mother of two. I have always kept relatively fit and healthy, but found it difficult after having children to retain the weight and body shape that I would like.  I tried various gyms that concentrated mainly on cardio, but found that I could only lose a couple of kilos and my body shape was not changing.

In 2003 my son Nic was 16 years of age and asked if he could learn to lift weights. Nic is legally blind and thus his ability to engage in and enjoy sports is limited.

While Nic had excelled in swimming and athletics for athletes who are blind, he wanted to test himself in competition against able-bodied competitors. I asked around for the best weights coach and Joe was recommended to me.

Hi Girls,

Billy is an inspiration to anyone who knows him, has met or trained with him.

Before I met Billy I didn’t know very much about lifting weights.

As a professional boxer and having represented Australia in numerous international competitions including two Olympic Games and one Commonwealth Games, I have benefited greatly in my preparation from the knowledge and coaching Billy has provided in the areas of nutrition, strength and conditioning.

Billy’s assistance in these areas made a massive difference to my training and competition results, allowing me to gain selection in the Olympics and move on to achieving my dream as a professional boxer.

If your desire is to reach the top, then I highly recommend Billy as the person to fine tune your nutritional strategies and strength development.

Thanks Billy,

For women like me...

I am a student of Power lifting, I have been studying for 1 year under the great tutelage found at Elite Physique.

In Power lifting I have found a sport that I am supported to measure my abilities not only against others but against myself. I have found a sport that I can see myself enjoying and learning from for a very long time. I have found a sport that makes me stronger both physically and mentally, my core strength and flexibility are continually enhanced and Power lifting has helped create a smaller waist, great legs and fantastic posture and as I continue to train in the discipline it will continue to help maintain my physical shape into my 40’s and beyond.

In my 5 years of competing in Amateur Boxing at an international level, Billy’s advice has helped me attain an incredible echelon, which I never thought was possible.

He adapted his wealth of training and physiological knowledge to my specific requirements in the highly competitive sport of elite boxing. Helping recovery through diet and boosting my conditioning by gaining specific strength from his distinctive training methods.

At a level where only one or two percent can mean the difference between Gold Medals and shattered dreams; it’s great to have someone in your corner who can deliver the best training tools, providing an edge that separates you from the rest of the field.

Thanks Big Dog,

Steven Rudic
2 times Australian Super Heavyweight Boxing Champion
Bronze Medallist @ 2006 Commonwealth Games

For older populations...

The power in Power lifting is its capacity to develop great core strength, great posture and flexibility, the keys to remaining independent for a very long time.

I am a student of Power lifting, I have been studying for 1 year. I am also an exercise physiologist (a personal trainer) who specialises in older populations, most of my clientele are over 50 years of age, and several of my clients are in their 80’s.

What I have noticed with those of my clients who maintain their independence into their 80’s is their great core (abdominal and lower back) strength, posture and flexibility.
