Rules and Conditions
Elite Physique has designed its Rules and Regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment in which to exercise. Please be thoughtful and observe the Rules and Regulations as you, and all members, agree to follow. Elite Physique may, in its sole discretion, modify the Rules and Regulations without prior notice at any time.
Personal Conduct
Elite Physique is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all. Elite Physique does not permit and will not tolerate any inappropriate conduct. Such conduct includes, without limitation, using loud, abusive, offensive, insulting or demeaning language. Profanity, lewd conduct or any conduct that harasses or is bothersome to members or Elite Physique employees will not be tolerated.
Member check in
You must present your membership card to the reception desk upon entry. Advise reception staff immediately if your card becomes lost or stolen. Please inform Reception if you have an appointment with one of our team.
Casual check in
All casual visitors are required to sign the Casual Visit Register located at the reception desk.
Membership Agreements
Members must read and agree to the ‘Terms and Conditions’ of the membership located on the back of the Membership Agreement Form.
Membership Payments
Members are not permitted to use the facility if membership payments are in arrears. If there is a problem please see the reception staff in regards to resolving the matter.
Membership ‘Freeze’ Policy
Freezing your membership is a service provided by Elite Physique for you to receive the maximum benefit from your membership. A membership freeze application must be made prior to the intended leave period, please see reception staff for our Freeze Policy.
Membership Transfer and Cancellation
There is a 7 day cooling off period for memberships of 3 months or more that begins on the date of purchase. Notice of cancellation during the 7 day cooling off period must be given in writing to the reception manager. A member may be permitted to transfer the remainder of their membership to a non member subject to payment of a transfer fee of $69 and any other conditions as prescribed by Elite Physique. A Member may cancel their membership giving 30 days notice in writing to the Reception Manager. All cancellations will require full payment of outstanding membership. In the case of direct debit the outstanding amount will be direct debited from the specified bank account prior to the cease date. Please see Refund Policy for upfront memberships.
Refund Policy
Refunds of any kind, if issued, are at the sole discretion of Elite Physique Management.
Potential members are more than welcome to bring along friends and relatives as potential members to the facility. Please arrange a tour with our Reception Staff.
Lockers
Day use lockers are available in both the men’s and women’s change rooms. Wallet and key lockers are available at the reception desk. Elite Physique is not responsible for any theft or damage of personal belongings.
Equipment
All equipment has been designed and tested to be safe with correct use. Please ensure for your own safety that you receive full instruction before commencing your first workout and thereafter follow your personal workout program. Free weights and dumbbells must be restacked in the appropriate rack after use. DO NOT leave bars loaded or leave weights lying around. During peak times please keep cardio machine use to a maximum 20 minute time limit.
Dress Code
Clean appropriate clothing (eg. T-shirts, singlets, track pants, tights or shorts) must be worn at all times. No bare feet, thongs, or open toed shoes are permitted while exercising.
Hygiene
You must use a hand towel at all times whilst training. Wipe equipment before you proceed to your next station (liquid detergent in spray bottles is provided in various locations around the facility for this purpose). For your own comfort and for those around you, please be aware of body odour and hygiene.
Children
Children under 18 require permission from a parent/guardian to use the facility. Children under 16 require adult supervision at all times unless the child is attending a supervised group class. Children under 12 are not permitted in the weight areas at any time.
Group exercise
It is not recommended to enter a class once it has started, if you choose to do so you enter at your own risk. Please do not enter a room prior to the previous class ending. Management reserves the right to cancel or change classes or services without notice in situations beyond control.
Injuries/Accidents
Any injury or accident must be reported to the facilities staff as soon as possible. An accident report form will be completed for all incidents occurring within the facility.
No Smoking
There is a no smoking policy in and around the facility.
Change of address
All members must notify Reception of any change of address as soon as possible. Failing to inform us of your change of address could result in you not receiving updated information and communication.
Lost property
All lost property will be placed in the lost property basket. Any items not claimed within 2 weeks will be donated to charity.
Damages
Any damages to the property of Elite Physique shall be paid for by any person who willfully or negligently causes such damage.
Medical Clearance
You are required by Law to present a Medical Clearance if you have a condition that may be adversely affected by participating in any of the services on offer within the facility.
Signs
All signs posted in the facility are to be considered as part of the rules and regulations and are subject to change without prior notice.
Elite Physique management reserves the right to terminate membership for breach of the rules, or conduct which, in management’s opinion, is damaging to the character or interests of the facility or offensive to other members or staff.
